The busiest library in the Metropolitan Library System, Edmond Library annually circulates more than one million books and other materials. First opened in 1967 as a storefront location, the library moved to 10 S. Boulevard in 1973. The largest renovation and expansion was completed in 2000, adding 10,000 square feet. The renovated library includes the Fred P. Snyder Quiet Reading Room, a beautiful round room for children’s programs, and an expanded meeting room space. In later updates, a new automatic materials sorter was added along with additional parking.
