Graphic Design Intern

Job Description:

Boiling Point Media is looking for a Graphic Designer Intern to aid in the creation of engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The graphic design intern’s job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. The person in this internship role will work closely with our Full-Time Graphic Designer to develop concepts and complete designs for a variety of clients across a wide array of industries. The ideal candidate will take direction extremely well and will be adaptable, trainable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing designs.
• Exporting graphics for both print and digital.
• Understanding brand guidelines.
• Knowing when to use the appropriate software.
• Able to organize files to work with a team.

Requirements

• Experience in digital design and layout software including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign and when to use each particular software.
• Understanding of print and digital practices and standards. 
• File organization and able to follow brand rules and guidelines. 
• Understanding design hierarchy. 
• Able to receive and interpret feedback.
• Must be able to receive class credit for internship and spend 15 hours per week at our Boiling Point office in Oklahoma City

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in Premiere and AfterEffects.
• Photography experience.
